Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell provides advice to approx. three thousand local people each year who live, work or study in our borough. We now have an exciting opportunity to extend our advice services, and are looking for an advice worker to provide an outreach session on Wednesday afternoons at the Foodbank at Ruxley Lane.
These sessions will run when the Foodbank is open, offering information/advice on a number of topics including energy. The ideal candidate will be an Adviser with strong generalist advice skills, including a good knowledge of welfare benefits and experience of undertaking benefit checks. They will also have knowledge/experience on ways to maximise income, including how to save money on energy. The role could also be suited to an experienced Assessor who is willing to undertake additional training.
Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential in the role, as is the ability to work independently in an outreach setting (an advice supervisor will be available by phone if required).
Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell values diversity and promotes equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
