Thinking about volunteering? We have roles for everyone
Citizens Advice volunteers join us for so many different reasons:
- keeping their brains active after retiring from a busy job
- student work experience to help with courses
- keeping up work skills and looking for a job
- regaining confidence in a workplace
- learning or developing new life/work skills
Or just because they want to give something back to their community.
And we see just as much variety in their professions and experience.
Which is great because the Citizens Advice team comprises so many different roles. Our volunteers include: trustees, advisers, assessors, supervisors, receptionists, admin support, digital, IT and communications experts, fundraisers, researchers, campaigners!
Find out about current vacancies here. You can also take a quiz to see what role would best suit you. Will it be working with clients or as part of the colleague support team?
People are often surprised by the range of opportunities to get involved. See table below for comments of those who did (and are).
Volunteers Week 2022
The first week of June is a moment to thank our volunteers for the hours they put in helping those with problems in the Epsom and Ewell community.
Without them, we couldn’t do our work. They change people’s lives for the better. Sometimes it’s a quick fix; other times it can take much longer. Whatever, our volunteers are in for the long haul, going above and beyond for those in need.
One thought is paramount in all our minds: problems can happen to anyone, anytime, without warning.
