Epsom & Ewell Jobs Fair 2023: job opportunities galore at buzzing event
There were job opportunities galore at Nescot college on 13 April for a buzzing Epsom & Ewell Jobs Fair. We were keen to take part to publicise the rewards and career benefits of volunteering at Citizens Advice.
Our CEO Lisa Davis said:
“There was lots of interest in the different voluntary roles we have to offer and many people took away job descriptions. Also people wanted to know more about the work we do which was great. Hopefully it will lead to more people applying to join us. The community need for volunteer advisers has never been more urgent.”
A wide variety of organisations attended to discuss vacancies, apprenticeships and visitors’ career ambitions. There were workshops to help people brush up their CVs and interview skills and learn more about apprenticeships.
Mix of ages
Young people attended in numbers reflecting the organisers’* wise choice of venue. Nescot has a buzz of its own these days and it was encouraging to see the mix of ages with students bringing parents and carers (and no doubt vice versa). More about student volunteers.
